I heard about this one at the dogpark...

Check out the baby's expression...priceless!

This one naturally follows:

Thankfully (?), my Italian Greyhounds don't seem to have the propensity to "roo"...:D

The Second Mrs. Pennington and I would get all three of our dogs going by playing the recorder (one of those wooden flute-like things), while we'd throw our heads back and howl right along with 'em. I wish I would have recorded one of those sessions... it was just funny as Hell. We used to laugh til the tears came and we couldn't toot any longer coz we were out of breath.

Former Happy Days, and all that. ;-)

I've never mentioned it, but I play the recorder...or used to. It isn't an instrument to be mocked and ridiculed in Germany as it is here in the States, but it's been quite a few years since I picked mine up.
It is absolutely rofl-worthy when IGs get started howling. When the IG Group here in town has a meet-up at the park, sometimes one of the owners will get a whole pack going, and the other dog owners look at us like we're deranged. My pups have never taken up the challenge, I wonder why?

Oh, but my dogs do kinda whine when Silver practices her clarinet...so she goes into her walk-in closet!

You should hear our Alaskan Malamutants when they hear a siren! They sit next to each other, noses pointed skyward and howl!!! It sounds like an air raid siren!

They would help...it truly is earsplitting!
