why don't my tips reflect it?
I grossed $465 today, quite respectable (I get 35%), but I only got $12 in tips. That's less than 3%, for you math-impaired folks out there. And that's simply pathetic.
Why are people so cheap?
*according to one of my clients today. One of the two clients who stiffed me, by the way. The other one was an older man who had toenails an inch long. I should receive hazardous duty pay for that one!

Were they rich folk? Or normal folk? My experience has been that a lot of rich folk don't tip as much as normal folk, which doesn't make sense, I know, but I keep seeing it again and again.
Normal folk rock.
why don't my tips reflect it?
Ummm... coz life ain't fair? (Which is why I don't have that Porsche, I guess.)
Completely meant in fun, of course!!
Normal folk, I guess. Except for the man with the looooooong toenails. 'Cause that's not normal. There's just no rhyme or reason to it, Roismhaire. Somedays everyone tips 20% or more, and others everyone is so tight, they squeak when they walk.
Buck, I know, I know. It was (mostly) a rhetorical question; I just need to vent sometime.
I wasn't aware that one needed to tip a massage therapist. And if I don't know it...

Really? Yeah, I guess I can see that. Oh, well. Water under the bridge, I guess.
