Beautiful.

My daughter Chaos (one of my twins living in England at the moment) wrote a by turns beautiful, moving, and disturbing poem/song/blog-post.

She's only fifteen.

Go, read it.

Yes, I know I'm probably biased, but it's still amazing.

Very nice; lotsa unvarnished emotion, and that's a Good Thing. But long. (Thus saith the poetry critic. Heh.)

Awfully deep for a 15 year old. I'm impressed, and yeah, you can tell her that came from a guy who writes books.

Thanks for liking it and all. I really appreciate it guys! :)

If anyone is wondering what the song is, it's the music video version (only piano and vocals - it has a much better sound than the regular version) of "Fairytale" by Sara Bareilles. I found it out because Breda posted it on her Facebook. It is so AWESOME!

Thanks, Everyone! It's amazing how you can be so inspired by a song (it helps to watch it 500 times, right, Chaos?!)
At your age I used to write angst-filled haiku. I still have some of them somewhere. Oh, and really emo poetry, too. Only we didn't call it "emo" back then!
