I was talking to my twin daughters today on my drive home from work (not very safe, I know, but with the time difference I was afraid I'd get home too late to call them.)
We always talk on speaker-phone, so they can't argue over who got more time with me, and they were discussing the latest hunky actors to grace the pages of 17 and People. They kept saying, "Mmmmmm, delicious!" with the same relish and enthusiasm their almost-seventeen-year-old sister would greet a pint of Ben and Jerry's Phish Food.
They're fourteen.
God help me!

I had to buy a bra for my 11 year old this year!
YIKES!!!!!
I was walking Yogi in our little city park near the police station with my best friend a couple weekends ago. We came up on the trail with two young girls out walking. They were somewhere in the 11-13 year old range. My friend paid no attention, but I couldn't help but overhear their excited chatter about some boy. As they passed us, the one said "oh, I think Brett LOVES you (insert dreamy pre teen eyes here)." . . .and she looks at her friend and said "Do you LOVE. . . HIMMMMM?"
And her friend responded with the same dreamy, soul searching eyes. .
" Nah. . I love CHEESEBURGERS"
B.F.- SCARY, SCARY!!! My oldest went from a training bra to a c-cup in around a year-and-a-half.
Lin - Now THAT is funny!
OMG I am terrified.....still got more than a few years but every time I think of what I was like I shudder.....
Ditto, kvegas! I was extremely boy crazy, from a very young age, and the world is a different, much scarier place now...
