noteworthy plates II

Seen on my drive home this evening:

YUPYUP

and

QTEEPIE

Also seen on the road to school yesterday, an SUV in the middle of the street, surrounded by SIX police cars with lights flashing.

Wonder what was up?

That second one is pretty cute... it would be even better if the driver was say, an old man.

That WOULD be funny, Ghost! Thanks for stopping by, BTW.
I thought about vanity plates for a nanosecond, then thought about my daughter driving the car...
I think I'll wait on those plates until she's off to college!

I once read that Nevada has over 80 different license plates. It seems like a BS number, but it was from a "legitimate news source."

That's... an awful lot of free tax dollars. =)

I don't know about eighty, but there are certainly a LOT of designs to choose from. And you have to pay extra for the special ones, too. So not too many "free" tax dollars, really!

This link will take you to the Nevada DMV, where it lists all the different designs available, unfortunately without examples. This particular page is for people wanting sample plates, but I know that if I wanted to, I could go to the DMV today and switch out my standard NV plates and get any one of these designs put on my car. Insane, isn't it?
