Overheard at the dog park...

"Romeo, get off him!"

Yelled at a pug who was frantically humping a (male) Pomeranian.

It just tickled my funny-bone that he was named "Romeo", of all things. Silver didn't get why I was giggling, and she's read the play!

I had a good snicker at the offending dog's name. Oh, the irony.

Personally, I think Romeo's owner should have taken her dominant little pest out of there, before he tries to do the same dominant behavior on a dog who won't stand for it and will require stitches. (At which time his owner will get all up in arms because another vicious dog attacked his/her little darling pug who meant no harm to anyone.) Snort.

My pup Tucker, who's usually pretty timid, seems to finally have grown some cojones. He'll only let another dog bully him for so long, then he'll turn on it. It never involves actual biting, but he definitely shows his displeasure with the other dog. They've all gotten the message so far, understandable when they're on their backs, with MY dog on top of them, baring his teeth! :)
