Seriously?!

If you can afford to pay $600 for you and your three daughters to get our most exclusive massages, you can afford to do better than handing a twenty dollar bill to the front desk gal to "split it between" the therapists. Fucking cheapskate.

OH that's just WRONG. I do 20% minimum. I don't care what spa service I get. If it's good 25% or more. $20? That's what 3%? Can you like, put them on a TSA "no massage list" or something?

That sucks! I have whipped cash out to cover a company function and the person with the company AMEX does not get it.

@ B.- LOL!

I'm completely with Brigid on this. Her percentages are about right.

I've never really considered that I have 'rules' for this, but if I think it through the minimum 15% tip I apply to minimum waitresses. More than minimum is 20%. (The math is easy, just shift the decimal place of your billed amount and double to get the tip.)

Anything that becomes more personal than the efforts of a waitress - such as that involved with TOUCHING me - is a $20 bill minimum, or 20% of the bill minimum. I've left $100 tips in particular instances.

I think if you have gone through the horror of giving me a massage that I should be signing over the title to my vehicle...

I round up to the nearest 'good' bill, if it is cash. I wont give a $18 tip if I have a Jefferson in my pocket.

(I've watched people calculate that the tip is $8.23 and they pile bills, two dimes, and three pennies on a table...)

Jackson, dammit. Jackson is on the $20.

(I know we are not talking specifically waitresses here, but that is where I tip most often.)

BTW You have to really suck as a waitress to get only 15% from me. 'Minimum' waitress I meant as completely minimum service.

I had a waitress spill part of my food into my lap. Accidents happen. From my seat I could see the frazzled waitress in her station lean against the wall and start crying. She got $50. I hope I made a difference in her day.

Ridiculous... And I agree 20% is fair!
