What are the chances?

I live in a really, really small town. So small that I recognize people in the newspaper. So small that the folks at the library and gym greet me by name. So small that when I get to talking with some of them, we find we have mutual acquaintances.

But who'd have thought I'd run into a fellow BLOGGER in this tiny, little town? Especially since it was completely random, coincidental, even.

The funniest part of this is that Mulligan and I are friends on Facebook, yet didn't even recognize each other the first time we met, at the chiropractor's! We talked about guns then, which led to this encounter, since he was stopping by the office to drop off an issue of Concealed Carry magazine for me, as he knew I'd be interested in it! To top off the serendipity, it's my day off, and I was just stopping by the office myself to a)pick up the sunglasses I'd forgotten earlier, and b)drop off my massage chair, since I don't need it at the moment.

What a string of coincidences! Culminating in the discovery of many, MANY mutual blogfriends, and of course the ULTIMATE: the aforementioned fact that we are facebook friends, yet were oblivious to it until now.

NO MORE, I SAY!

Thanks for the magazine, Mulligan! I really enjoyed chatting with you, and I need to get a t-shirt that says: "I'm Blogging This."

Because it's so true.

Apparently the chances are better than one would suspect.

Old NFO, you should have seen how my boss cracked up when we ran back into the office to tell him about it!

Small towns are just the coolest. But this anecdote is an amazing coincidence.

That's pretty cool. I have the feeling that I've run into people who know me from my blog but they try to pretend they don't for some reason...

In what way, Putz?!

Buck, I'm loving it here.

Jim, they're intimidated by your sheer presence. :D

And I was wondering why random fat broads will suddenly stop what they're doing and chase me with pitchforks and clubs...
Too bad I can't get Liberals to do the same.

Just wear a t-shirt that says "I'm Big Dick" and it'll happen for sure!
