*LOL*

Apparently, the UND Marching Band is a very big deal in Grand Forks...they made the news!

If you look carefully, you will see Silver at 0:47, all the way on the right! The camera is right behind her! w00t!!

On September 5th, the band will be performing at the UND/Texas Tech football game in Lubbock...I wonder if it will be broadcast on TV, and I wonder if there's some way I can watch it.

Here's the link to the news snippet:

They take that stuff seriously. And those kids are really, really good!

She's going to have so much fun up there.

Brigid, I'm so happy for her!
Yes, they are good. That's because, as Silver says, unlike high school marching band, in college, everyone in that band chooses to be there. That means they're willing to put in the effort and the dedication to be really good. And it definitely shows.

We used to have competitions in college for who got the most TV time during football games back when I was in UF. Being in FDL meant I was up front in the drumline so we always got TV time. It was the one way my mom & dad got to see me every Saturday!

So coooooooooool! Here's to another TV time member!

Well, sorta like that ol' Firesign Theatre bit... "If you lived here you'd be home now!"... Lubbock is only about an an hour and a half from my front door. And I don't think the Red Raiders sell out all their home games. But I could be wrong, coz football is bigger than some deities in Texas. ;-)

But seriously... I'm semi-certain the game will be televised here, much less so about you seeing it in Vegas. It's that regional thang.

Thanks, Blondie!
I'm so excited for her. Her trip to Lubbock should be oodles of fun.

Buck, there just has to be a way for me to watch...wait! I'm at work that Saturday...we're right next to the sports book...with little individual TVs at every seat...hmmmm. I have to do some research, obviously
