Overheard at the Chiropractor's office...

Me: GAWD, I need some coffee. BAD!

Sarah (the new CA): OMG, so you're NOT a Mormon?

Me: Nope.

Sarah: Thank God, I thought I was the only one!

You have to understand that (besides us two, obviously) the ENTIRE office staff and both Chiropractors are LDS. As are many, many of the patients.

I lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho for a decade one year, smack in the LDS Belt...

I understand.

Buckskins Rule, they truly are wonderful, kind people who are fantastic to work for and with, but dammit! I like coffee!

Edward, not exactly...;)

What exactly is LDS?

LDS? Yep, us folks who don't live in that area have no clue what that means.

Okay, I can see I've failed you as a blogger! :(

LDS = Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, aka MORMONS

I love Mormons. They know how to make money, but they do it so sweetly.

Oh. I know Mormons. Stephenie Meyer is a Mormon. Did you that?

Oops. I meant "Did you KNOW that?".

Yep... Mormons are GREAT folks. SN1 & Co. spent a couple o' years up at Hill AFB (just north of SLC) and obviously got to know quite a few of them, as did I on my visits up that way and in previous lives). Salt o' the Earth and all that, albeit with some quirky habits... chief among them involving the outright rejection of three of the four Basic Food Groups: alcohol, nicotine, and caffeine. I think they're down with sugar.

Zelda, this is the doc I told you about who hugs his patients (and staff) and tells them he loves them. He also told me yesterday that he's blessed to have me working there. :)
They are most definitely interested in making money, and don't they tithe 10% of their income to the church?

Tally, I sure did know that about Stephenie Meyer. We ladies at the chiro's office had an interesting discussion about "Twilight" last week...

Buck, sugar is a go, go, go! You would not believe the sweets that are offered to me every week when I go in. Cookies, brownies, donuts, you name it, they've got it. It takes a lot of willpower to turn them down, but I'm strong!
