Blondefabulous tagged me with this interesting meme, I need to mention six unspectacular quirks of mine...hmmmmm.
Must think about this. Things I think are perfectly normal might seem quirky to others!
1) My daughter just pointed out how I literally "squeeeee" when I've finished a book I really, really enjoyed. Except I guess it's more of an "Eeeeeeeeee" sound. If you want to get technical. Whatever!
2) I have conversations with my dogs. In weird, weird voices, often in baby-talk, too. They haven't answered me back yet, but you never know...
3) I ALWAYS unplug the toaster when the bread's finished toasting, and it remains unplugged until the next time it's used. Ditto for the coffee maker. I think this is because I read somewhere when I was a kid about house fires being started by plugged-in toasters, or something. My kids have been trained to do this as well.
4) I can sleep anywhere, under almost any circumstances, if I'm tired enough. Also, I can sleep perfectly fine on my bed without any covers whatsoever, and most people consider this very, very strange.
5) I always have at least one book with me, wherever I go...JUST IN CASE.
6) I am obsessed with sudoku, and sometimes I'm super good at it, and sometimes you'd think I was a moron.
Okay, I think that about wraps it up. I'm up past my bed-time!
I won't tag anyone, since I've been doing that very often lately. If you feel inspired to do it, feel free.

I talk to my dog and cat too! I have a Yorkie and a giant throw rug of a cat. Never got into sudoku though...
Good for you about the sudoku, it's very addicting!
3) Actually also saves energy.
6) *sigh* I'm right there with you.
I talk to my dog as well, A lab, he actually knows quite a few words, his favourites being - Mom's home!, milkbone? and bacon bacon bacon!
I also unplug the toaster, and I have no idea why, perhaps a Mom caution for some reason.
Ditto number 5. Whenever I have an appt, I bring a book, I must have about a dozen of them scattered around my work station, and a few more in my locker in the bathrooms. Oh yeah, and possibly 4 or 5 more in my truck. Heaven forbid I'm caught ANYWHERE without having something to read...
Sonja, sometimes I think sudoku must be a tool of the devil!
Lin, I'm always amazed at just how smart my dogs are, and how much they understand. I love 'em! And I'm glad to know I'm not the only toaster-unplugger.
Kevin, thanks for stopping by! I actually feel antsy if I forget a book for whatever reason (though that happens only on extremely rare occasions). Even if I'm absolutely positive I'll never have time to read a word, I still have to have a book with me. Here's where it's an advantage to be a woman, since I can carry a purse. And every purse I buy has to meet the "does-a-book-fit" requirement!
You're weird!
I like that in a person.
Weird people of the world, unite!
No kidding? That must have been some powerful article on unplugging appliances since my SILs have the same staunch regimen. The big concession I make to electricity is not leaning on the metal window frames while watching a killer thunderstorm (a direct hit would probably kill the head on your beer, I figure).
I dunno, Lin...it's simply automatic, and has been since I was a kid!
And during thunderstorms I shut everything off (like computers, etc.)
I can't do sudoku. I see numbers and immediately think, "Ack! Math!" and my brain shorts out.
Breda! It's NOT math! You could do sudoku with letters or symbols or whatever. It's just a logic puzzle, really. And so much fun, and so frustrating, but fun, yet frustrating...you get the picture!
everyone tells me that it's not math - but try to get my brain to understand that. And you know, I'm pretty good at math, I just don't like it.
There's one quirky thing about me!
Topamac 100mg Tablet is an anticonvulsant, recommended for treating seizures and forestalls headache headaches, either alone or with different meds. It diminishes irregular hunger in the brain.
