NOT lost in translation...

Had a fun time before microbiology class today, doing an exercise involving twizzlers, toothpicks, and mini-marshmallows...

Check out my DNA and mRNA!

DNA FUN!

In other news, I think there's a better time and place to discuss one's marital woes than micro lab.

And Mr. K.? "Magnanimous" is NOT synonymous with "Huge". Just sayin'.

In other, OTHER news, another mouse has bit the dust! w00t!

Nicely done! And yeah, class is not the time to discuss ANY TMI stuff! I have heard a lot!

Congrats on the vermin count!

whoa, when did you get this new layout? looks nice.

Anyways, the joys of micro. Hopefully you do well in the course. Remember, chains are built 5' to 3', and it's always anti-parallel!

Oh, sorry I cannot help with your classes, I teach IT stuff. Wish I could!

Thanks, Keads! And don't worry, I can handle school! (I hope...)

Hiro, it's for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I'll probably go back to my basic blue in November. But who knows...
I'm getting the hang of this DNA stuff, but it's always good to refresh things, so thank you!

Are you painting little mouse silhouette's on the door of your car yet? :)

B.R., I should, I really should!

Another vote for mouse silhouettes.

When we moved into the house and the schnauzers started enforcing the no-rodent zone in the yard I made a brag panel for them. Little silhouettes of chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, baby bunnies (sad but it IS their nature), etc. Indy made ace in the first month and his brother got his fifth a week later. Red for a confirmed kill, black for a shared kill in a "neutral" space in the middle, and yellow for un-attributed/un-confirmed kills in the "neutral" area.

Three years later the board is kinda full and we don't have a problem with gophers anymore.

Anon.

Awesome, Anon. My dogs have zero prey drive, apparently! That's okay, mouse traps work well (even though I have to sacrifice some of my precious peanut butter), and once I have this stupid ringworm beaten into submission, the kittens will once again be allowed free reign in my room...

So are you going to be a proper surrogate kitteh mom and teach them how to pounce for a clean kill?

I think I'm back in my own time zone. The flight landed to late to be certain.

I'll call you when I fully wake up.
