You knew that was comin', dint ya? But good on 'em for the correction. Not ALL stupidity is correctable... just look at the current occupant of the White House for proof.
Stupidity and narcissism often go hand-in-hand. The narcissism prohibits any kind of learning from one's mistakes, since one obviously CAN'T make mistakes.
And I'm really glad they took my anonymous suggestion seriously.
The first version must have been written by the same in-duh-vidual that does signage where I work.
Some examples include using then and than interchangeably and the apparent use of a Wheel-O-Punctuation.
If you ever find something that soothes the burning from the stupid make sure and post the info.
And if you really want to feel the burn I'll send you the email traffic between a unit manager at a union location and our district manager concerning employee benefits and the part time labor model vs. the union contract. It was full of FAIL.
Ugh. I worked in a polyurethane foam manufacturing plant, and when I had some time, I went through some of the plant's OSHA paperwork. OMG. Written by a lawyer, full of grammatical and spelling errors. *I* was embarrassed for the poor man. I thought I'd do something proactive and correct the paperwork, but my boss got so pissed at me, that a lowly receptionist would DARE to correct a lawyer, that I never showed any initiative again. Please do send me the emails, if you can do it in such a way as to preserve everyone's anonymity. Lucrativepain@yahoo.com
I'll have to see if they're still on the 'puter at work.
The Clif's version is the district manager was yelling at the unit manager for hiring full-time employees instead of part-timers because of the benefits. The UM's response was that since the benefits were the same for either because of the union contract it was cheaper to hire two full-timers instead of three part-timers. The DM was missing the very real labor savings and the UM was missing the point that it was more important to follow THE POLICY than to use logic and produce results. Given that the DM operates off his Crackberry most of the time it was hard to read.
Yes, I work for a great corporate Shaitan. And I gouge every dime out of 'em that I can.

Does the revised ballot say "v2.0" on it anywhere?
Revision control is important...
Yeah Christina,
One small dragon slain -- now you've past your apprenticeship.
Head out into the world and slay more dragons
Oh, dear...SCI-FI, I see no such thing. :( They failed, again. ;)
Bob, aren't I a bit long in the tooth to be out slaying dragons?! I'll do my best if I come across any, though.
I guess this means no more tutu's at work?
Yup, no toe-shoes, either. Pity, that. ;)

One small accomplishment for proper spelling, one giant victory for you, Christina...er, anonymous suggestion giver :-). Good job!
Anonymous, very few people DON'T work for some kind of giant corporation nowadays. My spa is moving in that direction, and I hate it.
Thank you, Shannon! I don't know what made me go back and check the ballots, but I just had a feeling...
