There's no relief...

quite like getting pulled over for speeding on your way to work, getting a ticket, then realizing an hour later, as you look at your "ticket", that it's really only a warning.

Dodged that bullet!

Thank you, S.Brown!

I've only gotten pulled over once lately, one of those no turn on red signs. But you couldn't read the tiny letters.

The officer took my license and my concealed permit. Asked if I was carrying. I said I was and I was LEO, he looked at that ID, and then said why didin't you stop, but he was smiling.

I said. Can YOU read those letters?

He sqinted and started laughing. HE couldn't read them. He said he's let the city know (it was a new sign) gave me a lecture about waiting if you're not sure and said to have a nice day.

I felt pretty lucky.

It's a great feeling!
So is checking your laptop after you DROP IT DOWN THE STAIRS, and finding it still works. D'oh! (That happened to me this morning.)

Good on the ossifer... there should be more like him. Apparently your jurisdiction isn't in need of additional tax revenue.

Buck, I was going ten over on the freeway, and in no way driving faster than any other car on the road, but I *was* speeding.
Yes, he was extremely pleasant and apologized for my having to work on a Sunday (hey, he was working, too!).

Just for that - she's going to take up cat-juggling - and going to use the laptop, the ipod and the expensive Ming vase as her warmup items! (Chainsaws would be too easy!) :P
