Note to self...

If the kitten decides to sit on my lap while I'm drinking my morning mug of (decaf!) tea, it behooves me to remove the motherfucking teabag. Otherwise kitten will think the dangling tag and string are a toy, and yank the motherfucking teabag OUT of the mug, splashing hot tea all over himself and MY LAP.

Yeah, but are you really awake enough to think about it when having your first mug of hot tea in the morning? Second mug, maybe, but first?

Hope you didn't get badly burned! The kitten, well, I'm not sure there's hope for him. He's a male kitten, after all - this sort of thing is inevitable.

If this comment seems nonsensical, it was posted before my first morning cup of liquid went from the cup to inside me.

LOL!
Not badly burned at all. It was more of a shock than anything, since I hadn't noticed him batting at it. The mug was mostly empty, so the tea was hot, not burning. :)
That's what I get for taking pity on lonely kitten and letting him back into my room! (I've been keeping the animals separate because of the whole ringworm thing.) He was mewing so piteously since he misses his brother, whom I'm going to the vet now to pick up!

Have we not learned ANYTHING from the TAMPONS?

Shannon, there's obviously a learning curve that I've missed somehow. ;)

there must be a hot wet kitty joke here someplace.

Don't say it if you want to live. I know where you sleep, remember? ;)

My cat, Frank, likes coffee, or maybe he just likes the cream in the coffee. Several times he has jumped in our laps and caused a spill. Gotta love 'em.

A.) Since you don't know where I live can I make the obvious reference to the hot, moist, kitty?

B.) I've had the same problem with schnauzers and beer. At my old apartment complex a bunch of us got together for "group therapy" most Friday evenings. It generally involved a ring of folding chairs around somebody's garage, a grill, and a red wagon full of ice. Any beverage placed in the wagon was considered community property as were any food stuffs on the grill. One of my schnauzers became famous for waiting until the group was nice and mellow and the wandering around the ring of chairs. If he came to a beer bottle that wasn't being closely attended it got "accidentally" knocked over and he and his brother would enjoy the spoils. It was funny as hell to watch. He was soooooo intent on being sneaky about it. True to their German heritage the pair seemed to prefer the Warsteiner Dunkle or my home brewed wheat dunkle.

Well, at least you weren't so un-awake that you put a tampon in the mug instead of a tea bag. Although I'm sure the kitten would have enjoyed fishing that out too. ;)

Lou, cats are just plain weird, I'm finding out. But that's what makes 'em so lovable and amusing, too. :)

Anonymous, you are so chatty! I like that!
Beer-swilling Schnauzers. That's something I'd like to have seen. Did they ever get tipsy or hungover?
You are welcome to become a "regular", just don't refer to my hot, moist kitty, m'kay? ;)

Miz Minka, that would have been quite the odd tea for me! Ew. But you're right, Bruiser would have loved that!

No hot, moist kitty references? But this is the interwebs. That's what it's for.

And I couldn't say if the pups ever got hangovers. They tend to look hung over in the mornings anyway.
