Okay, I'll admit it. I failed. I can't seem to completely cut caffeine out of my life, no matter how hard I try. BUT, I'm limiting myself to ONE cup of half-caf, only on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, because of school. I can't stay awake for three hours of lecture and two hours of lab without it.
*sigh*
Let the mocking commence! ;)

No mocking.
Quitting cold turkey is a rough road for any chemical dependency.
You haven't just said bugger it and gone back to the monkey so you're making progress.
Keep at it babe.
Anon.
"Not sure why you gave it up to begin with," she said while emptying her two cup mug of Trader Joe's French Roast decaf.
No mocking to offer; however, you do realize chocolate has caffeine in it, don't your?
Yay, no mocking!
I'm just so hard on myself, I guess.
I feel like I should be able to live without it. *sigh*
Yes, I know chocolate has caffeine. Since I almost never eat chocolate, I think I'll be fine...mmmmm...chocolate...I think I'll get some tomorrow!
Reese's peanut butter cups! YUM.
None of us are perfect Christina... You do the best you can! :-)
Thanks, NFO...I appreciate it!
I couldn't fairly mock you even if I felt the need because I'm smoking a cig and drinking Dr Pepper right now.
You're doing the best you can and that's just fine. :)
Thanks, Sarah!
All I'm sayin' is if anybody tried to limit my high-test coffee it'd make the Brady bunch's worst "blood in the street" fears look like a sunny day in the park.
No mocking. Caffeine is mildly addictive, or even more than mildly addictive. That addiction killed Walter Brennan in a movie called "The Far Country". A movie so old that Old NFO was Young Tricycle Rider when it came out! :)
Seriously, if I go more than 24 hours without coffee, I get a serious headache. Which can only be cured with a cup of coffee, pain medications don't work.
The key is to find a healthy balance.
No mocking here. We do what we must. Or can.
Stingray, then by all means, KEEP DRINKING! Your rants are scary enough as it is...;)
TOTWTYTR, you got that right. Healthy balance. I'm trying. The problem is my sensitivity to caffeine. But I demonstrably can't function in school without it. So I take the smallest, teensiest amount I can get away with, and hope for the best (i.e., that I'll be able to sleep that night.)
Thanks, Buck. Considering that you can drink coffee all day long and still sleep like a baby, your lack of mocking means a lot to me! :D
No mocking. Enjoy your coffee. It's medicinal.
