Another tip for massage clients:

When I tell you before the massage, "Undress to your level of comfort," that doesn't mean you can take your underwear off half-way through the massage. Got it? Good.

I had my first professional massage last weekend.

Christine.... I had NO idea.
I left a $25 tip, and was smiling as I did so. Two days later I ran into her, and she asked if I had any aches or pains from the massage. I laughed... felt the best I had in a long time.

I WILL be back to see her.

Yay! Another convert!

Too many people still have no idea of the benefits of massage. If they only knew...

If they only knew...

Well, I miss the amateur massage exchange. Neither of us were LMTs, but we knew what worked. (insert big-ass grin here)

That's a whole different kettle of fish, Buck!

As you well know...;)

What was the part that skeeved you out, the point where I took off my underwear and threw them against the wall, or the fact that they stuck there? ;)

Definitely the sticking part, AD...

Could've been worse. He could've taken them off halfway through the door.

SCI-FI, I can't tell you how many clients have started whipping off their robes the instant we enter the room!

half way through the massage ??? ... that's just nasty!

Meh. Not really, Julie. It was more awkward than anything.:)

What about those of us who don't wear underwear?

Christina RN LMT said...

Well, that's the whole "undress to your level of comfort". If you're commando before the massage, more power to you. As a therapist, I prefer my clients to be nude. That way I can really work on their glutes.

Fair response, you win :D
