This one's for you, Chuck

Well, I cave to the pressure, so here are some pics from work.

Here's the infamous side-by-side room, where another therapist and I can massage two people at the same time:

See the white roaster-looking thing in the background on the right? That's where some river stones are cooking in case we get a hot-stone massage.

Behind this door is no-man's land, literally:

It's the back door to the women's spa, which we hustle (female) guests through to avoid leading them through the gym while they're wearing robes.

Here is my second favorite place in the women's spa, the jacuzzi (I like the steam room the best):

It's where Silver spent most of Christmas morning, lucky thing!

Finally, here's a typical massage treatment room, this one happens to be in the women's spa. Basically, if a female therapist is massaging a female client, it will be in one of these rooms.

Not very much space, right? Throw "proper body mechanics" out the window, sometimes you have to be a contortionist to do the massage!

Bored yet? Well, I'm done anyway. I couldn't risk taking pictures that might identify the spa, though of course anyone who's BEEN to this spa will recognize it!

Have a great weekend, Folks...I know I will!

Nice place.

Thanks! It's not the ritziest or biggest spa on the Strip, but I like it a lot. And we definitely get some nice folks out here, especially the ones from Texas...

:)

Thanks so much for giving us the visual image! Now, next time take us behind that women's spa door! ;) LOL

Hey, I showed you the Jacuzzi and a treatment room, so you'll have to be satisfied with that!

Will it please your prurient soul to know that a lady was in the shower as I took the pictures?

I thought so; enjoy.

that looks so lovely - I've never been to a spa or had a massage.

WHAT?!!!

Oh, Breda. That is truly an egregious oversight that must be rectified...ASAP!!

Sort of like myself needing to take up shooting...;)

Seriously, though, the benefits of massage are numerous, just the relaxation factor is huge.

Try it, you'll like it!

Is the mens spa at the place you work a mirror image of the womens spa with the same layout and jacuzzi tub, only for men?

Do they have a lounge area in the men's side with a TV and current daily newspapers?

That's one of the things I like about a spa experience. Chilling out in my robe while reading the paper and watching "Sports Center". Drinking some iced tea and getting ready for the day ahead.

Mandalay Bay had a nice lounge for that.

Yup, Joey, pretty much.
The guys have urinals, of course, and don't have a huge vanity with tons of blow-dryers and other haircare implements, but they do have the sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi. Plus the men's treatment (massage) rooms are much bigger than the women's, for some unfathomable reason.
Yes, there's a lounge, too. With all kinds of reading materials besides the newspaper, too. No Playboy, though...

What about massages for older women? My Gramma is 76 and her skin is easily bruised, as well as very sensitive. Is there any way she can get a gentle massage as well? She's always in a lot of muscle pain and I cant seem to find anyone willing to take her on! =(
