I'm truly happy for you that you're able to get an erection at your age, but that doesn't mean you can masturbate during your massage. Jerk off on your own time.
Thank you,
Christina LMT

Sheesh, what's it been, two days on the job and you have to deal with that?
Anonymous, it was just the "luck" of the draw. *sigh*
Maddmedic, it unfortunately comes with the territory, and is thankfully not that common.
Blondefabulous, I asked him to stop and he did. I spoke with the spa manager while the client was getting dressed, and he had a chat with the client as he was leaving. The client said he "didn't think it would make the 'girls' uncomfortable." Clueless, really.
Nope, North. It's MY time. His money, my time. His massage received, mine given. His "happy" time can be any time he's not on my table, getting a massage from me.
What's wrong with people, anyway? Would he start yanking his crank at the barber's, or while getting his teeth cleaned at the dentist?
Seriously, Christina, why DIDN'T you (or the spa) call the cops and press charges? I'd say that's got to violate several laws. If you let a SOB like that get away with it, he's going to do it again to someone else. Furthermore, if you charge him, wouldn't you be sending a public message to other perverts that it's not acceptable behavior? I can't see a downside to pressing charges . . . but maybe there are factors involved I don't know about.
Peter, from what I gather, he really had no clue that what he was doing was offensive or wrong. I guess he thought it came with the territory!
He was really old, which isn't an excuse, but an explanation. I think the spa handled it as well as they could, and unless he grabbed me or something, they'd never dream of pressing charges. Think of the negative publicity for the spa! We put a note on his file so we're very aware of his behavior and in the future we'll monitor him very closely. It's really a no-win situation. The most the spa will do is ban him.
Chair massage is indeed wonderful and beneficial. My own first professional massage received was also a chair massage. It's one of the reasons I decided to become a massage therapist myself!
You really should try a table massage, though. There are some techniques that we are not able to apply through clothes, that's for sure.
Well, see, Christina? This is why, as I told you, I prefer my massage given by a male practitioner. That sort of thing only happens to me when I have a female working on me, and I have no desire to embarrass her or myself.

Ummmm...
That is WRONG!!!!
Ewwww.....
Um.... isn't that illegal? Like sexual harassment or Lewd & Lascivious or something??
Not to mention it's just EW!

Wait - Wasn't it "his own time?"
:-P

Trying to be lightly humorous. Never mind.
No worries, North! I took your comment in the spirit it was intended, and I kind of figured someone would jump on the whole "my time" thing.
It's just a touchy subject all the way around (and I CAN'T get away from puns, dangit...I almost put "hot-button topic," d'oh!).
It's difficult to do your job when you're made uncomfortable in that fashion.
Hey, at least he was self-sufficient and didn't ask for help.
No common courtesy at all... sigh

Pervs! Grrrr!
:-(

EEEEEEEWWWWWWWW!!!!
"Would he start yanking his crank at the barber's, or while getting his teeth cleaned at the dentist?"
You might be shocked. I used to work for a dude in his 70s who would absent-mindedly rub his junk when he was carrying on a conversation. Creepy.
Not cool. Blech.
As a man, who likes massages, all I can say is that there are no more mental hospitals in America.
Be careful out there!
Actually, the massages I like best are all above my chest line. Upper back and neck.
I got my first massage in Dallas at a convention. You sit in a chair that lets you lean forward, and I ended-up going every day.
When I got home my family thought I found a new girl friend I was so chipper.
Nope, just a good masseuse!
Le Client, thanks for stopping by!

Jim, the ERECTION isn't a problem, nor is it (or should it be) embarrassing. The whacking off is the inappropriate part!
But I understand your concern and applaud your method of dealing with it. :)
