"Chance of snow 30%...

accumulations of up to 1 inch."

These words, I do not think they mean what you think they mean...

The spa is shut down today, and I don't think I'll make it to the gym or the post office, either (sorry, Brigid!). I have food and heat and hot water, and I have PLENTY of schoolwork to do, so I think I'll just hunker down and wait for it to melt.

Curse you, Algore! You and your global warmening!

Yeah, 'forecasting' and reality don't always mix... Good Idea to just wait it out. That way you don't get hit by idjits who can't drive in snow...

I've been home hunkered down for days now. The roads are better, but no point in getting out unless one has to. Stay warm.

I'm over this winter stuff. I'm ready for spring.
I continue to be amazed at the stupidity of the people with whom I share the road. Seriously people, if you aren't getting traction, more gas is not the answer!

In my little corner of the world, that would be considered "very little" snow and everything would be open. XD

I drove to the Museum this morning after getting 7" over night. Roads were crap. It sucked. But at this point, I'm used to it enough that I don't even put it in 4 Wheel anymore except going up the hill to my house since our driveway doesn't generally get plowed.

I went snowshoeing with the dog yesterday, when it was nice out (sunny, clear), enjoying the 3ft we got on Wednesday. Without snow shoes, there are places where I'm up to my hip in snow. With the snow shoes, it's better. :D Poor dog either walked behind me in my snowshoe trail or boinged up and down making her own trail

Even though the temp is supposed to get up to 39 today, I figure it won't make it there 'til around 1 or 2 at the earliest. With radiant heat from the sun and the temp we will most likely lose the snow, but the ice underneath won't be gone 'til Monday. I frickin' hate this. But I'll make the trek down to Corinth to see my mother anyway.
