Detox

I had my very last cup of caffeinated ANYTHING this morning. I'm tired of wanting to answer "Tired" anytime anyone asks me how I'm doing.

Because that's how I've felt over the past few months. Either tired or wired. I call the wired part "fake awake".

I know that caffeine is not a big deal at all to most people. A lot of people need it, and take it (drink it, whatever), but they can still sleep normally, etc.

But I'm so damn sensitive to it, that my entire sleep cycle is disrupted. I'm so done with that! I want to feel normal again.

So, starting tomorrow: Decaf TEA, at the most. Plus water, lots of it. And Monday I head back to the gym.

I have one cup a day, half decaf. Because of mornings like this where I get to get up at 3 am.

:-)

I'm drinking my one cup of hot, decaf, Earl Grey tea. Yum. :)
I woke up for once without the haziness in my brain. Still tired, though! :P

Christina, YOU have to do what works for you, what will be worse is actually trying to FIND decaf coffee and tea when you're out and about... A suggestion, carry a couple of spare tea bags in your purse.

I will be sure to take over your caffeine habit for you - in fact, I'm having my 3rd cup this morning, just so you don't feel deprived.

Old NFO, I plan on it! I ran into that already a week or so ago in a restaurant. They didn't even have TEA.

Shannon, you are such an altruistic person! ;)

What Old NFO said: do what works for you. OTOH, my heart would stop if I quit drinking coffee. I'm convinced of that.

Buck, you have coffee running through your veins instead of blood, I'm sure...was "Starbucks" named for you?!

...was "Starbucks" named for you?!

That's a pointed reference to the significant amounts of money I dropped, on a Monday through Saturday basis, in their store on the ground floor of my office building in SFO.

Christina-- give a daily dose of B Complex a shot. It's really made a differece with my sleepiness, what with my shift differential work.

Thanks, Matt! I took that for a while but I guess when I ran out, I never replaced it. :(
I took the liquid sub-lingual version.
