If I'm giving you the most awesome, most relaxing, most therapeutic foot massage you've ever received, please don't be lying back in the recliner, texting someone on your phone. It ruins the experience for both of us. Thanks.
Mr. Spock?! Yes, texting is far worse than farting during a massage, in my not so humble opinion. If a client farts, he or she is very relaxed, which means I'm doing my job and the client is in the moment as well. If the client is texting, he/she doesn't give a fuck about the massage and is not paying attention to the service I'm providing.
You know what's unfortunate? The fact that some people find relaxation in texting...sucks, but it's true. I think I'd be pissed if I were you too though. Each morning, I give my husband a complete rubdown - and while doing so, his eyes are closed..and although the television is usually on with the news - never once do I see him open an eye to see it or appear as though he is even listening to what they are saying...he is lost in comfort, and that makes me feel as though I am doing something good for him.
Oh yes, the keyboard makes the difference for sure (I have the LG enV3). I am an avid texter simply because I HATE talking on the phone. It's not necessarily relaxing for me, but it does provide entertainment!
P.S. - He is always telling me how lucky he is to have me. I am just as lucky...we've got a good thing - something that I believe is out there for everybody in some capacity - most are often just not patient enough to wait for it to happen.

Some people have no idea how to relax. I pity them.

Shannon, you bet your ASS you're doing something good for him! That's fantastic and he's lucky to have you. :)
As to finding relaxation in texting, I don't get it. I hate texting, probably because I don't have a qwerty keyboard on my phone! :P
