Uh. Mah. Gah.

Had my first kickboxing class last night after work. I probably never would have done it, but my friend and colleague A. was my exercise buddy and she talked me into it.

What a blast! Yes, it was hard, but I'm happy to say all my recent cardio workouts have paid off, and I had no problem keeping up with the class. The only sour note was struck by my stupid feet. About half-way through the class they started hurting (because I basically have no arch [ugly, remember]), so I was in pain for the rest of the class. The instructor told me I didn't have to do all the bouncing next time. So there's a trade-off, less of a workout for less pain. I'll have to think about it!

I absolutely LOVE kickboxing! It's the best workout ever & the only thing I was ever able to stick with. I can't wait to get back into it!

I really did have a lot of fun, painful feet notwithstanding! My butt is pretty sore today...:)

i used to wear arch supports, funny things that lifted my arches, and did make them feel beetter for a while, but then that position got to hurt also...just doomed to have pain down there...can't help you though with your butt

Bad feet really are a curse, Putz. NOBODY can help me with my butt!

Kickboxing is a blast! Try the arch supports though. When Barkley was little I was walking or running him about 3-4 miles a day and my feet got to hurting so bad I was limping. Put in the supports in all the shoes I wear and the pain went away in a couple of weeks, never to return. I have short, flat feet. Think Donald Duck.

Brigid, I was wearing arch supports, that's the sad thing! I have BIG, flat feet.

Phlegmmy, it truly is. I had contemplated it for quite some time, but it took my friend to actually get me through the door.
