Duhr...

I'd like to preface this little tale by reminding you that I'm really, truly NOT blonde, all evidence to the contrary notwithstanding.

The steering in my car has been a little shaky at slow speeds lately, and my tires were looking a little tired (cue rim shot, please), so I called my local Discount Tire today and made an appointment to get the tires checked. You know, tire pressure, check the alignment, making sure I hadn't picked up any nails, etc. I bought all four tires there a while back, so any checks and patching are free. :)

I picked Silver up from school and we headed to the Discount Tire, parked, and went inside.

Wow. We both commented on how the whole interior of the store had changed, that they'd moved around a lot of stuff. Basically it wasn't at all how we remembered it from last year.

I got in line and made my way up to the register, where I told the clerk that I was there for my 2:30 appointment to get my tires checked. He looked at me blankly for a moment, then said, "Tires checked? This is Autozone, the Discount Tire place is next door!"

I knew that.

That's great, C. And how brave you are to share it.

I got a "Lifetime alignment" earlier this year. For the cost of 2 Front end alignments, I can have mine aligned for FREE as long as I own it.
Since I tend to do a curb check a week, AND I'm known for driving too fast, I hit a lot of bumps faster than I should.

Since I bought this I've used it 4 times. Sweet deal, huh?

Perhaps you just need to adjust your caffine intake??

Awesome, Holly! Yeah, the alignment was off by two degrees apparently. I guess I just notice these things!
I left the part of the story out where I tried to exit the Autozone through the entrance, and the clerk had to say, "The OTHER door!" about three times. I was so flustered!

Blondie, I've been off caffeine for a few weeks now, but I was very tired and hungry when this happened.
Yeah! Low blood sugar, sounds like a good explanation....I'll stick with that one.

Ah. The "tired and hungry" defense, the ex's ALL TIME fave. (Who, btw, is a natural blonde... in hair color and other attributes, as well.) I lost count of how many times I heard that particular line during the first year I knew her! ;-)

But... we all have our blonde moments. I'm with Blondie on the courage needed to post yours, tho, Christina. Pretty funny, that was!

Thanks, Buck!
The first words out of my mouth when Silver and I got back in the car were (after saying, "Oh, how embarrassing!" of course), "I HAVE to blog about this!"

I had to take my car in. It was early, I'd pulled a 20 hour shift and had about 3 hours sleep, so I just put my hair in a pony tail, threw on some jeans and a sweatshirt, and dropped it off.

The next day I went back to get it, in skirt and heels, all done up. As I left the manager said "that was so nice of your Mom to bring your vehicle in for you".

I need more sleep.

Poor you! I definitely have my blonde moments, but they're luckily few and far between.
