Beyond pissed.

Well, ONE FUCKING POINT destroyed my GPA. My 9-credit Adult Health class only had points from the four exams we took, even the final was only worth 25% of the grade. I got, respectively, 96, 86, 94, and 96 on the exams. All the papers I had to write for my clinical (which has the same professor) were worth nothing. I don't know why she bothered even grading them and assigning points. I don't know why I even bothered working so hard on them and why I stressed so much. If I had gotten ONE MORE QUESTION correct, on any of the exams, my overall score would have been 94. Instead, the average is 93. Which, of course, is an A-. Since it is a 9-credit class, this A- torpedoed my 4.0, and now I have a 3.927. I know, I know..."first world problem", right?

Whatever, all I know is that I don't know why I try so hard, and now there's no point anymore. Who cares?

Yes, I know the math is not quite right. The first three exams were 50 questions, two points each. The final was 100 questions, one point each. ARGH.

You know what they call the person who only has a 2.0, and passes their NCLEX?

I feel the pain, all through school straight "A", then one year the GPA torpedoed. I got a C in PE.

It was "gymnastics" time that quarter Look, I was the height of most college grads but my feet had not caught up. On top of that I was a D cup, I did NOT balance well on a Beam or anywhere else and I had no desire to hang upside down from a ring while I got a world class wedgie from the two small tights. Apparently, that showed in my "enthusiasm" and the teacher marked me down accordingly.

You did great, a upper 3 point anything is much to be proud of.

Thanks, Everyone! I'm mostly over my mad. I'm really only still mad at myself, I know I could have done better on the exam I got an 86 on, I didn't study enough because I was in the mid-term funk.

Best advice I got: "When you're applying for a position in the medical field, nobody cares what your GPA was." I was aceing classes, then got sick. I got an F in foot anatomy. It wasn't a big deal (but yeah, it bothered me).

In what world is a 93 not an "A"?

Every grading scale I've ever seen had an A- as a 90-92.

And heck, I got a B+ in a class this semester, screwing up my 4.0 GPA, and you know what? It ultimately doesn't matter.

Robert, it truly is beyond frustrating. I hate thinking, "I should've done this or that!" It's pointless and a huge waste of time and energy.

Mike, at Nearby Big University (NBU), 90-93 is an A-, anything 94 and above is an A (no A+ at MY school, thankyouverymuch!). It was an eye-opener for me, since until I went here, every other school I attended didn't even have minuses with regards to GPA, so a 90 counted as an A.

What are grades? They are numbers they have no place to go other than in the grade book. Does the grade book go anywhere? Hell no!!! You should be proud of yourself ma'am!!!!!!
