What's with the poundage to be lost? One woudl have to shake the sheets out in the morning to find you, as I see it. You look great as you are, but if you feel healthier, then go for it, and beat his testosterone fueled shrinking ass. :-)
Brigid, I've put on a bit of weight since you saw me last, and I need to lose it. Simple as that (except losing weight is never simple...argh.) I want to fit into ALL of my clothes. No worries, it's not a ton of weight (cue rim shot).
And yes, I want to WIN. 'Cause that's just how I roll. :D
Pure poundage, and no percentages? And you're taking on a man? I don't know, kid. As a recipient of the many advantages of the ol' testosterone, the proposition seems slightly iffy :-)
Jim, he's gonna win, but the competition motivates both of us, and it's fun! Plus, he's closer to his goal than I am, and that's how the winner will really be determined. I still have around 21 pounds to go, he only has 15 or so more to lose. But you never know...he might fall into a vat of ice cream and need to eat his way free, or something!
A few of the basics should be shared with the crowd:
1) We do not have identical goals of pounds, nor "percentages of our starting weights." 2) Our individual goals of "weight lost" are a ratio of 3:2 (me to Christina). 3) First one to the goal wins.
In light of the aforementioned, I am *not* kicking anyone's arse. I am only keeping the pace we predicted.
