Heh. My (soon-to-be) former insurance company quoted me about $1,600 for a year's worth of auto insurance. This after I've been with them for over a decade, with the safe/good driver discount. And my car is an 8-year-old Hyundai Accent. Screw 'em, I'm going with a local company that quoted me less than half that. State Farm can kiss my ass.
I hear ya. When I got off my parents insurance a few years back State Farm wanted something like $225/month. This for a 23 y/o male with an 07 Mazda 6 and one accident. I ended up paying ~$75/month less elsewhere.

That's just the start of it. Just wait...and use lube!
You mentioned New England. I missed the 'Peoples's Republic of..' part.
Wait.
You moved from Texas to Massachussettss?
And you did this on purpose?
Oh, honey ... This is just the tip of the iceberg ... luckily, New England has tons of awesome gunnies who will help offset the pain :)
Well, $100 ? That's at least a friendly introduction to MA.
You tell your car insurance company yet ? **ducking**
Oh shit Wally, I forgot about that sweet little bullet.
Welcome to Massachusetts, Motto: "Live Free, or Here!"

TX to MA...
Yup. Put me in the "Huh?" column. And an extra tick for the "Well what did you expect from MA?" on the fee.
