My impression that most of those who get into trouble, started in trouble. [High Blood Pressure, Type II Diabetes, Congestive Heart, Immune suppression, etc]
Generally speaking, you often have poorer outcomes when you are in poor health to begin with, but I've also seen patients with zero comorbidities hospitalized with COVID, so your mileage may vary!
Any number of "silent" comorbidities. High Blood Pressure, Type II Diabetes, marginal heart condition, advanced age, etc. Something waiting until the immune system is busy with the primary,..... As well as plain bad luck.
Thank you! Sorry for the delay in replying, but I really think I had a case of long COVID. I had COVID in JUNE, but I only started feeling 100% a few days ago, and never really got that something had been wrong. Just that I never much felt like doing anything. Heh, thought it was menopause.

Do you have any fell for "comorbidities" in the COVID patient population?
Obviously "fell" should have been "feel".

Whatever, it will keep you busy.
Stay safe and do that you gotta!
I once had a poster; dragon and rainbows. " It is always darkest before the dawn". And the clock slows down.
Hang in...
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
Watch out for the "Tart Green Apple" anything. I swear our place had a bulk tank of the stuff right next to the liquid oxygen. Yuck!
If you end up coming through Texas again, let me know! I'm in North Texas and always up for meeting interesting bloggers.
Shrtstormtrooper, thank you so much! I will definitely look you up if I'm in the area again. You are one of my blogging heroes. :)
Back on Onc? At least the survival rate on COVID ICU was probably higher. Tough duty either way.
Merry Christmas.
