The ho-hum life of a massage therapist and nursing student in Small Town Massachusetts
Your leaves are falling ALREADY? Wow...Nice haiku.
That was MY reaction this morning, too! Walking my dogs in a shower of leaves...depressing.Thank you, Sir.
I was trying to think of a word like melancholy. I had to look that one up.Anyway, I met with an old friend passing through town, and she is now 30 years older than when we last met. While having lunch at the airport she made a facial gesture (wetting her lips with her tongue). Flashback, and I saw her exactly as she was at age 19. I hadn't remembered her little habit. It was an instant feeling of where did all the years go! How did we get so old. I felt like I was falling.I didn't say anything, but I think she may have thought I was having a petit mal seizure while staring at her face much too long.Falling leaves...
Anonymous, just don't let another thirty years go by! THAT would be beyond melancholy.Your comment was poetic without a poem.
