hot-hot-hot

The a/c at work crapped out today. In a spa with a hot tub, sauna, and steam room. With hot-rock roasters, hot-towel cabbies, and showers running constantly.

It was hell.

I only had three massages today, but I was sweating so much, I worried that I was walking around trailing a fragrance reminiscent of the sweaty gym socks you find buried at the back of your locker at the end of the school year.

I availed myself of the complimentary deodorant we have for the guests quite often.

My last massage of the day was a hot-stone massage. I took a cold gel-pack from the freezer, wrapped it in a washcloth, and stuck it down the back of my shirt.

Necessity is the mother of invention!

Hopefully the a/c unit will be un-frozen by tomorrow! I need to invest in a small, quiet fan...

A hot stone massage in THAT? You deserve a medal, girl.

Hope it's cooler tomorrow. Guess I shouldn't tell you we had a hard frost yesterday.

Hang in there. . .

It was better today, Lin. It doesn't help that we have no windows...one of the downsides of being located in a casino!

*L* OMG - that cold gel-pack idea was pure genius!

I HATE working in a hot space - it makes it nearly impossible for me to concentrate or perform well. Yuck. Good on you for soldiering through, anyway. I hope they've already fixed the system - the customers will be complaining.

The customers did complain, Phlegm, especially the ones working out in the fitness center. Luckily, that area has a ceiling fan, or we'd have been in serious trouble. I'm just worried, if the a/c unit freezes up NOW, in April...what's going to happen in July/August?!

You are a better woman that I am, I would have melted into a little bird puddle. I HATE the heat.

It's pretty bad, Sparrow. You end up feeling dizzy a lot, and drinking tons of water in between services. It does make one wilt, for sure!
