The ho-hum life of a nurse and massage therapist in New Hampshire.
I could probably use braces, but they kind of scare me.
They scare me, too. Everytime I look in the mirror!Ha! I crack myself up.I had braces as a kid, but of course lost or destroyed my retainer. Plus getting my wisdom teeth has made the rest of my teeth shift around a little and my bite is all messed up. I don't want anything hindering my ability to eat, you know! So since I have pretty damn good insurance through my work, I decided to bite the bullet. The braces aren't the worst, I've had this evil jaw expander against my upper palate since August. I can't wait to get that POS outta there. Thanks for stopping by!
Better late than never! You have very healthy looking gums.
Do I?Thanks, I guess...;)
I have to tell you - I HATE chewing gum -- my orthodontist told me to chew sugar free gum (he provided a big bowl of the stuff by the front desk) to ease the pain of the braces whenever I got an adjustment. I was baffled to find that on the occasions I didn't chew the gum, I actually hurt way more that evening and the next day. The whole braces-era will be over before you know it. Cheers, darlin'!
Phlegmmy - I'm chewing some Eclipse gum right now! You are not the only person to recommend gum. So of course I follow the experts' advice.Breda - I was so tempted to get the funky colored rubber bands (do you see I chose gray?), but I was worried it would appear too unprofessional at work. Darn. I wanted the purple, too.
